 Domestic Data Center: Facilitates hands-on physical access in Nigeria. You save on exorbitant costs which would otherwise be incurred for a ‘pair of hands’ if hosted abroad. This also allows you to do away with the effort of building your own in-house data centre, thus resulting in benefits like savings in costs and effort, efficient manpower utilization and better uptime.

Rack Space: First phase of DOPC Data Centre accommodates 15 racks to host 100 Servers to provide almost unlimited scalability to match your business growth.

Power Supply: NEPA feeder lines enter DOPC IDC from two separate locations that help in maintaining a redundant supply of power. Additionally, power is backed-up by gensets equipped with auto start and time delay system in case of NEPA failure hence eliminates the human intervention and delay. Power facilities are fitted with various alert systems for phase to neutral problem or very low voltage in NEPA, generator failure, low oil levels in diesel tanks etc. Apart form gensets there is a fully redundant UPS system which is backed by Servo Stabilizers to regulate the power before UPS. This in turn allows us to maintain the highest uptime.

Precision Air Conditioning: Precision air-conditioning provides a high performance and controlled environment for mission-critical applications to be up and running 24x7x365.

Dust Filtration : Prevents damage to servers and ensures quality performance.

FM 200 inert gas-based fire control systems eliminate risks associated with water-based fire control systems.

Security

 Within and outside IDC a combination of physical security, surveillance systems and privileged access systems make for a highly impenetrable security arena.

Physical Security

Zone One – Dedicated security personnel (manned security 24x7x365).

Zone Two – Access card.

Zone Three –Access card.

Zone Four–Access cards.

Zone Five- Access Cards (Shortly will be replaced by biometric scanning and pin access system).

 Redundancy

 A high level of reliability is maintained with the help of a number of redundant subsystems that include multiple Links using fiber trunks, VSAT Link and Wireless Link coming into the IDC from multiple telecom and satellite service providers . There is fully redundant power on the premises, along with multiple back-up generators equipped with automatic switchover and time delay system in case of NEPA failure. Power facilities are fitted with various alert systems for phase to neutral problem, generator failure, very low voltage in NEPA, low oil levels in diesel tanks etc. Also to regulate the power there are multiple Servo Stabilizers with Multiple UPS systems.

Data Security

All our customers get the benefit of certain proactive security measures that we practice. 

Anti Virus

 We install anti-virus patches on all customer assets thereby minimizing compromises due to a virus attack. The onus of upgrading patches from time to time rests on our security team.

Firewall

 Firewalls act as a first level of security for networks and systems, protecting what is inside, and at the same time, providing outward access and exposure to the Internet. All the servers/applications are placed behind our Next Generation firewall. All access to servers is compulsorily routed through this firewall. Its stringent policies are configured based on the wealth of experience we have acquired in Data Centre operations.

Managed Firewall

The DOPC Firewall uses Next Generation (NG) Switched technology to offer complete security for a host of applications. The Switched Firewall is a multi-component solution managed as a single system. It does policy checking for every new connection request, manages the connection table and specifies the rules for handling subsequent packets in a session.

Vulnerability Analysis

 Vulnerability assessment solutions provide tools and services to automate the detection and correction of common machine and configuration errors and vulnerabilities. Such errors can expose a machine or network to attack from either internal or external sources. A dedicated security team at DOPC conducts vulnerability analysis on a scheduled basis.

LAN

The LAN at DOPC is divided into two parts, and thereby is able to provide separate access to browsers coming in through the Internet and clients who need to access their applications for updates or maintenance. This assures faster access by ensuring that bandwidth is not clogged and also facilitates easy control and management.

WAN

 The DOPC WAN has high-speed connectivity through VSAT HUBs in Europe, United States and Lagos, Nigeria. Its backed by SAT-3 (shortly coming submarine cable link) and supported by local wireless link. This is a great advantage for Hosting customers as their servers can be reached with a minimum number of hops from domestic locations. DOPC also has multiple E-1 links.
